Storage & Packing Tips

Make a list

It's important to stay organized before and after storing your belongings. Make a comprehensive inventory of what is in your unit and keep a permanent marker handy to label each box with its contents on more than one side.



Cover it up

Anything left out of a box or uncovered can get dusty in even the most secure storage unit. Fill boxes to capacity so they don't collapse if something is placed on top, distribute weight evenly, and close them tight.



Make an aisle

​If possible, leave a walk way in the middle of your unit with box labels facing out for easy access.



Keep it clean

Use dust covers for items such as mattresses and furniture and make sure there is no food or perishables stored in your unit.
